Want to be a real knight once in your life? With a horse, sword, and everything that goes with it?
That is Tuco’s big dream. So, together with his musical accompaniment, he immerses himself in the world of the legendary Don Quijote. Together with an imaginary squire, he escapes his gray everyday life and takes the children on a colorful journey to a castle. He plays the hero, fights a battle, and is taken prisoner. How will the story end?
Musical dramatic forms of storytelling for young audiences give children special access to the world and to culture in general. Children are curious and eager for new experiences. “Don Quijote” – an opera from a suitcase – offers a playful introduction to the world of theater. With wonderful music and singing, this exciting mini-opera about adventure, friendship, and the power of imagination transforms any location into an adventurous knight’s backdrop.
