My new song cycle \u201creflexionen – frauenliebe und leben\u201d (reflections – women’s love and life), based on poetry by Helle Trede, will premiere in May. Mezzo-soprano Pascale Jonczyk had the idea of contrasting Schumann\/Chamisso’s cycle with a contemporary perspective. In collaboration with pianist Olivia Shurman, poet Helle Trede, and myself, a new song cycle was created in a cross-generational exchange on the theme of women’s love and life.<\/p>\n
The cycle will be performed for the first time on May 10 and 11 in Freiburg (see schedule).<\/p>\n
